Believe it or not, for the week of May 7th our catch of the week turned out to be the shark pictured to the right. The common Lemon shark usually grow to a length of around seven feet but have been reported to exceed ten feet. This particular catch weighs in at between 60 and 70 pounds and has grown to roughly four feet in length.

We’ve had lots of luck with catching Dolphin fish (Mahi-Mahi), and it’s been a lot of fun for our guests to catch. We know catching Mahi Mahi can be rough, but everyone that has caught one in March so far has said it was well worth it, and a good time.

Sharks are perhaps one of the most well-known aquatic species. Their image proliferates through the media as threatening and dangerous creatures that are perilous to humans. Among trophy fish, the Dorado has few rivals. This fish provides a stunning display when mounted on a wall. With a large, square head tapering towards a lithe scissor-shaped tail, this unique species will catch anyone's interest.

The Bahamas Marlin season starts roughly at about April and lasts well into the end of summer. Starting in April, you can find a decently sized population of White Marlin swimming through the waters outside of Grand Bahama, New Providence, and Paradise Island.
